During his latest podcast, NateTheHate said he had been told about Nintendo and the Nintendo Switch 2, including a plan to unveil a new Star Fox title in April 2026. That set off fresh talk among fans watching for a possible Star Fox Direct-style announcement, but the reveal did not materialize by Friday.
He later took to Twitter to answer critics who accused him of getting the story wrong. “As said several days ago: I do not doubt the game's existence. Several outlets/people have spoken on the game beyond me, as well. Timing for reveal was off the mark & wrong. That's a miss by me,” he wrote.
He also rejected the idea that Nintendo insiders had fed him false information to stop leaks, saying, “No. Marketing timelines change all the time & has nothing to do with spreading false information.”
