Barcelona beat Bayern Munich 2-1 on the night to win their Uefa Women's Champions League semifinal 3-2 on aggregate and move on to the final in Oslo. Alexia Putellas scored the decisive goal after Linda Dallmann had equalised for Bayern Munich.
The winner will face Lyon in the final on 23rd May, and Barcelona earned the right after surviving a second leg in which Bayern’s attacking spells were met with loud whistling from the home crowd. Cata Coll was largely untroubled during one good stretch of Bayern possession, while the visitors’ defending in pressure areas was erratic and chaotic.
Bayern still found a route back into the tie when Dallmann was unleashed on the counter down the right and finished the move with an equaliser. Barcelona answered through Putellas, who made it 2-1 and settled a semifinal that had already produced chances at both ends.
Caroline Graham Hansen headed over from about four yards out, Salma Paralluelo played the ball back across the box, and Esmee Brugts saw a shot shut down in a scramble in front of her. Mapi Leon also went wide, while Irene Paredes picked off a cross searching for Pernille Harder.
Georgia Stanway picked up a yellow card in a big match that never fully settled for Bayern, and Barcelona's control of the key moments proved enough to decide it. The final now sends them into another meeting with Lyon, with the title to be decided in Oslo.
