Samsung is expected to begin the stable Samsung One Ui 8.5 update rollout for the Galaxy S25 series on Thursday, April 30, 2026, starting in South Korea before moving to other markets. The United States is expected to follow around May 4, with the company likely to share its official rollout schedule once the first releases begin.
The Galaxy S25 lineup has spent nearly five months in beta testing, after Samsung launched the One UI 8.5 beta program in early December and pushed 10 beta updates before the stable release came into view. That run makes the timing significant for S25 owners watching for a final build that has already been through an unusually long trial period.
The update is expected to bring design refinements, smoother UI improvements, upgraded Galaxy AI features and better cross-device functionality. Those changes are set to reach the Galaxy S25 series first, then spread to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z TriFold, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra in mid or late May.
Samsung’s sequence points to a standard staggered release, but the recent leak detailing new features has already given users a clearer picture of what is coming. If the rollout starts as expected on April 30, the next signal to watch will be Samsung Community, where the company could publish the broader schedule for the rest of its eligible devices.
For Galaxy S25 owners, the update is no longer a distant preview. It is the point where months of testing turn into a public release, and the rest of Samsung’s device lineup is waiting behind it.
