UFC fighter is facing a child abuse charge after deputies responded to his Tijeras home on Tuesday night, April 21, following a dispute that court records say turned physical. The said officers later spoke with a 17-year-old female and 18-year-old , Tim's daughter.

Court documents said the argument began over home cleanliness and escalated as the teen and Means got into each other's faces. The 17-year-old told deputies that Means headbutted her and caused her to bleed from the nose. Records said both the teen and Kristina described Means as remaining aggressive, and the documents also said a potato was thrown and Means was accused of throwing a punch.

The same court records said the teen had hand and red marks on her neck, indicating she was strangled, along with blood seen on and in her nose and several red marks across her face and cheek area. After being detained, Means told law enforcement he and the teen had a verbal argument about the home. He said the only time he got physical was when he tried to restrain her from hitting him.

Means is known in mixed martial arts as a longtime UFC fighter with a record of 33-17 and one draw. He last fought in the UFC in October 2024, and the charge now places one of the sport's recognizable veterans in the middle of a serious criminal case that is still unfolding through the courts.
