The Tennessee Titans picked Pat Coogan, a center out of Indiana, with the 194th overall selection in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft on April 25.
The move gives Tennessee another option at center after it cut starter Lloyd Cushenberry in the offseason. Coogan joined a draft class that also included Jackie Marshall, who went to the Titans at No. 184, as the team kept adding depth late on a day when it had no picks in either the third or fourth rounds.
The selection came during a draft that underscored how far Tennessee has had to climb. The Titans have gone 3-14 in each of the last two seasons, and they entered this one after holding the first overall pick in last year's draft, when they took Miami quarterback Cam Ward at No. 1.
First-year coach Robert Saleh and second-year general manager Mike Borgonzi used the top of the board to reshape the roster, making two first-round picks and one second-round pick before waiting until the sixth round for Coogan. With fewer premium selections and a hole at center, Tennessee was able to spend late picks on players who can compete for roles rather than just add to the depth chart.
That makes Coogan's path straightforward and unforgiving. He arrives with a clear opening at a position the Titans already chose to move on from, and the next test is whether he can turn a late-round chance into something more than a roster spot.
