Helldivers 2’s latest Warbond, The Exo Experts, lands on April 28, bringing a fresh wave of exosuits, weapons and armor to the fight for Managed Democracy. The release is pitched as an immediate expansion of the war effort, with the Ministry of Defense authorising new Exosuits for deployment at once.
The headline additions are the EXO-51 Lumberer and the EXO-55 Breakthrough. The Lumberer is a modern reinvention of the first Galactic War’s original Lumberers and comes armed with an anti-tank cannon and a flamethrower. The Breakthrough pairs a flak cannon with a ballistics shield. Alongside them, the MGX-42 Bullet Storm arrives as a disposable machine gun with caseless ammunition in multiple barrels, and each use includes two machine guns. The SMG-203 Gallant, described as the MP-98 Knight’s older brother, fires at a high rate but gives up clip size for greater penetration. The P-33 Missile Pistol adds guided, heat-propelled rounds with a lock-on feature and is billed as hitting its target 60% of the time, every time.
The new gear is not just about firepower. The O-2 Heavy Operator armor is the state-mandated uniform for Super Earth citizens who must operate heavy machinery, and it is best matched with the Watchful Compatriot cape, which carries a retro print first made popular in GW1 cereal merchandising. The O-3 Free Spirit armor comes with SteerComfort, letting the wearer feel every curve, bump and jostle of the Exosuit, while the Free Spirited Spangles cape salutes mischief-makers and mavericks. All of the new armors ship with the Oxygenator perk, which allows the wearer to walk, run and slide slightly quicker within Super Earth Health and Safety guidelines.
The Warbond also includes the Exosuit Certified title, the Thumb of Approval emote and victory pose, and Mobile White patterns. That package sits inside Helldivers 2’s usual progression system, which means players will need the base game, Super Credits and game progression to unlock it. The timing keeps the focus squarely on the war on the enemies of Managed Democracy, and the message from the official reveal is plain enough: not all machines are twisted mechano-socialists; some are piloted by true-hearted humans and we can all rest easy in their gaze. For players who have been waiting for heavier tools, the answer is now set for April 28.
