Liga de Quito will visit Independiente del Valle on Sunday, April 19, at 15:30 in the ninth round of Liga Ecuabet, with the match set for Estadio Banco Guayaquil. After returning to training following its victory over Mirassol in the CONMEBOL Libertadores, Liga is already shaping the team it expects to use on the road.
Ricardo Adé is out, and José Quintero remains a doubt after leaving with discomfort against the Brazilian side. Tiago Nunes plans to keep Gonzalo Valle in goal and use a back three of Leonel Quiñónez, Richard Mina and Luis Segovia, with Josué Cuero ready to step in if Quintero cannot play. Jesús Pretell and Fernando Cornejo are expected in midfield, while Janner Corozo and Deyverson are part of the attacking plan.
The projected lineup also includes Yerlin Quiñónez and either Gabriel Villamil or Alejandro Tobar, a setup aimed at keeping Liga adding points as it tries to avoid slipping into the lower part of the table and cut the gap to the current champion. That leaves the clearest question in the buildup: whether Quintero is fit enough to hold his place or whether Nunes must change the side at the last minute.
