Carnival has canceled more than a month of fall 2026 sailings on Carnival Firenze and replaced the empty dates with a new run of adults-only SEA cruises, with targeted offers already landing in the inboxes of West Coast cruisers. Multiple emails sent to the Cruise News Today tip line show that the canceled voyages are being filled with the casino-focused itineraries, including an 11-night Mexican Riviera cruise departing Nov. 2 and a 14-day sailing leaving Oct. 19.
The move puts Carnival’s adults-only cruise concept on the West Coast for the first time in fall 2026, just before Firenze leaves the region for an East Coast deployment in early 2027. The offers so far have gone to residents 21 and up, and the special sailings are aimed at casino players with upgraded dining and added onboard perks.
Carnival first introduced SEA, which stands for Sailings Exclusively for Adults, in summer 2025 as a casino-focused test, and the company later expanded the program after it proved successful with members of its casino loyalty program. The new Firenze schedule fits that wider rollout, turning a batch of canceled dates into a targeted product for a specific audience at a time when the ship’s West Coast run is nearing its end.
Doug Parker said on April 3 that the industry was starting to learn more about the 11 canceled Carnival sailings from the West Coast, and then pointed to the replacement offers now appearing for the same dates. The change is notable because Carnival Firenze is one of the line’s two Italian-themed ships, and these sailings will be the last chance for West Coast travelers to book the adults-only format before the ship shifts its home base in 2027.
The answer to the immediate question is yes: the canceled fall 2026 trips are being backfilled, not left unused. What remains to be seen is how quickly Carnival widens the West Coast SEA offers beyond targeted email campaigns, but the schedule now shows the company is moving the concept from a test into a broader part of its cruise lineup.
