Millonarios is still looking for its first victory in the tournament after opening with a 2-0 loss to O'Higgins in Rancagua. Before returning to continental play, Millonarios drew 1-1 with Santa Fe in the capital derby.
Boston River arrives in Bogotá after losing its first group match 1-0 to Sao Paulo at the estadio Centenario, where Damián Bobadilla scored the only goal. That result leaves both teams under pressure, but Millonarios carries the sharper need: it has to turn home field into points if it wants to stay alive in the Copa Sudamericana.
The timing matters because this is Millonarios' first chance to answer the disappointment of its international debut and move past the domestic draw with Santa Fe.
