, a 37-year-old math teacher at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School, was arrested after Brevard County sheriff’s investigators said she carried on a sexual relationship with a student. She was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held without bond.

The case surfaced in March, when the parents of a male student grew suspicious after he came home late from work and would not say where he had been. They checked his location and found he had been at an unfamiliar home, then learned he had first told them he was at a girlfriend’s house before admitting he was involved with his teacher.

Investigators said Rose and the student had been communicating privately on Instagram since November 2025. Authorities said the relationship turned sexual in February and continued into March, setting off the investigation that led to her arrest.

Rose now faces five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, along with lewd and indecent exposure offenses against a student by an authority figure. The allegations center on an abuse of trust inside Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School, and the case reached deputies only because the student’s parents used location tracking to follow the trail he was unwilling to explain.

The question now is not whether the complaint will be pursued — it already has been. The issue is how far investigators believe the relationship went, and whether anyone else has information that could help the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office fill in the gaps.
