Bella Hines committed to TCU a few days after entering the transfer portal, a sudden turn that added another piece to the Horned Frogs' busy offseason recruiting push.
Hines, a former LSU combo guard, became TCU's fifth commit headed to Fort Worth, according to the school's portal activity. The move came after she had told followers on social media that she was staying in Baton Rouge, making her transfer one of the more head-scratching sagas in LSU's roster cycle.
For LSU, the timing lands inside a larger stretch of roster management under Kim Mulkey, who said she expected everyone back for next season except Divine Bourrage. Mulkey had already signed former Florida guard Laila Reynolds, another step in shaping the Tigers' lineup before next season.

The sequence around Hines underscored how quickly the women's transfer market can shift. A few days separated her portal entry from her commitment to TCU, and that short window was enough to send her from Baton Rouge back into a new program's plans.

What happens next is straightforward for both sides: TCU adds another portal piece, while LSU keeps moving through a roster picture that Mulkey said she believed was mostly settled.
