Georgia moved up to No. 4 in the latest ncaa baseball rankings after sweeping Mississippi State, a result that pushed the Bulldogs two spots higher from No. 6 and sent Mississippi State down to No. 7. Alabama also climbed, rising to No. 9 after taking two of three at Oklahoma and extending its winning run to three straight series in SEC play.
The weekly update had a little more churn than the top of the poll usually gets. UCF came in at No. 17 after winning a series at West Virginia and moved into sole possession of first place in the Big 12 at 10-2, while Kansas entered at No. 24 after six straight wins. Oregon dropped out after losing two of three at Michigan, and Kentucky fell out after losing a home series to Missouri.
Alabama’s climb carries extra weight because of where the season started. The Tide were swept by Kentucky to open league play, but have steadied since then and now sit 8-4 in the SEC. Georgia’s jump was the biggest move among the teams near the top, and it came in a week that otherwise brought only a minor shakeup in the top 10.

The real pressure point is how quickly the standings can change once conference play settles in. Georgia and Alabama both turned strong weekends into noticeable gains, UCF backed up its Big 12 start with another series win, and the bottom of the ranking showed how thin the margin is for teams trying to stay in the poll at all.
