Alabama moved up to No. 9 after taking two of three games at Oklahoma, continuing a strong SEC push that has given the Crimson Tide three straight series wins after Kentucky swept them to open league play.
The changes produced only a minor shakeup in the top 10, but they still reshaped the upper tier. Alabama is now 8-4 in the SEC, while Georgia’s rise reflects a road sweep that carried more weight than a typical series win. Mississippi State’s fall was the sharpest slide among the top teams, and the swing in fortunes came in a week when several league races began to separate.
