The Utah Jazz closed their regular season on the road against the LA Lakers with both teams short-handed, and LeBron James was among the players listed on the injury report. In all, 11 others were also on the report for the matchup.
Utah had eight players ruled out, leaving the Jazz to sort through a depleted final game. Kyle Filipowski missed his second straight game with a back injury, while Elijah Harkless sat with a lingering hamstring issue that had bothered him over the past couple of weeks.
Filipowski’s absence carried more weight because of the season he put together before the injury. He played 77 games and averaged 11.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in just over 23 minutes per game, while shooting 49.2% from the field and 32.5% from three.

Even with the absences, Utah had a few moving pieces available. Ace Bailey was active to finish his first-year campaign, and Cody Williams and Brice Sensabaugh were expected to see reps against Los Angeles.

The injury list underscored how little either side had left to work with as the schedule reached its final stop. For Utah, the game was less about standing and more about getting through the finish line without another setback.
