Curtis Jones is expected to miss Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening after feeling a groin issue in Saturday's 2-0 win over Fulham at Anfield. The midfielder was treated just before half-time and withdrawn at the break.
Arne Slot said he would be surprised if Jones was available in time for the PSG game. Slot added: "He felt a little bit his groin. It wasn't the moment – he felt it already for a few minutes," and later made clear, "So, let's hope for the best but I would be surprised if a player who comes off that he's available for Tuesday."
The concern comes at a bad moment for Liverpool, who are trying to finish the job in the Champions League quarter-final second leg after Saturday's league win. Slot also said Alisson Becker will remain sidelined for the meeting with PSG, noting that the goalkeeper is not training with the team yet.

"Tuesday I don't expect him. He's not training with the team yet," Slot said of Alisson. "But he's working very hard on his recovery, so we hope to have him back in the near future. But he doesn't train with the team yet, so he will not be performing [on] Tuesday."

For Liverpool, the picture is plain: Jones is a likely absence, Alisson is definitely out, and Slot goes into one of the club's biggest games with two more selection questions than he wanted.
