Brandon Garrison is part of a Kentucky roster picture that is still taking shape for 2026-27, and Mark Pope and the Wildcats are entering what is likely to be the most important offseason of his tenure. Kentucky finished 22-14, fell short of the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament and now faces a stretch that will be judged by who stays, who leaves and who arrives.
The staff already has one major change, with Keegan Brown now serving as the Director of Roster Management, but the work is far from done. Kentucky still needs to fill two assistant coach positions, and that adds another layer of urgency to a summer built around roster construction. Landing commitments from Tyran Stokes or Dink Pate would be a huge start, especially as the Wildcats continue to chase versatile wing talent and evaluate one of the portal’s more experienced forwards.
That pursuit has not been limited to one tier of the market. Another transfer portal player has heard from Kentucky, and the program remains active as it sorts through options for a roster that must be reworked with precision. Reibe was a player Kentucky recruited heavily out of high school, and Bizjack is also being viewed as a potential point guard option, showing how wide the search already is.

The offseason matters now because it is not just about replacing departures. Kentucky is trying to build a team good enough to move beyond the 22-14 baseline that defined this past season, while also making sure the coaching staff and roster move in the same direction. The next few weeks will tell whether the Wildcats can turn a busy offseason into a meaningful reset, or whether the questions around brandon garrison and the rest of the roster linger deeper into the summer.
