Bernardo Silva would be open to a move to Juventus even without Champions League football, while Alisson Becker would still consider a reunion with Luciano Spalletti if the chance came. The contrast matters because Juventus need to convince elite targets while their season hangs on a fight for fourth place with Como and Roma.
Juventus have already gone out of the Champions League and the Coppa Italia, leaving fourth place as the club’s clearest route back into Europe’s top competition next season. Spalletti has been confirmed as head coach until June 2028, and the club is still chasing some of the biggest free agents on the market even as its options narrow. Bernardo Silva also has another major suitor in Barcelona, where Champions League football can be guaranteed, and that gives the Spanish club a clear edge in any race for his signature.
There is a harder financial reality beneath the transfer talk. If Juventus miss out on the Champions League, they may have to sell at least one major player to balance the books, which would make the summer plan far more complicated than a simple rebuild. Khephren Thuram, who joined from OGC Nice in 2024 for €20 million, is seen by La Gazzetta dello Sport as an obvious candidate to go, while Pierre Kalulu and Gleison Bremer are also possible departures.

That tension is what makes the current market so tricky for Juventus. Robert Lewandowski and Leon Goretzka are also unlikely to join without Champions League football, yet Alisson, 33 years old, is reportedly willing to reunite with Spalletti in any case, and negotiations with him and his entourage have already made significant progress. The club wants to strengthen under Spalletti, but the size of the rebuild may end up being dictated not by ambition, but by whether Juventus finish the season in the top four.

For now, the race against Como and Roma is not just about pride or standings. It is about whether Juventus can sell a future worth joining before the summer market moves away from them.
