Monterrey will visit Atlas at Estadio Jalisco on matchday 14 of the Clausura 2026 still searching for a Liga MX win. The Rayados have not won since their 4-0 victory over Querétaro in jornada nueve, and since then they have posted three defeats and one draw.
The trip to Guadalajara comes after Monterrey fell 2-1 to Atlético de San Luis in jornada número 13 at Estadio BBVA, a match in which Corcho Rodríguez was injured. That result left the team with little margin for error, even though the FIFA break brought positive news on the recovery of almost all previously injured players.
One setback remained. Iker Fimbres had not recovered by the time of the Atlas match, so Monterrey arrived short-handed but without the discipline problems that often complicate these stretches. Before facing Atlas, the club had few players booked, no one had been sent off and it would reach Estadio Jalisco without any suspended players.
That leaves Monterrey in a narrow lane: healthier than it was before the break, but still carrying the weight of a run that has changed the tone of its Clausura 2026. The response now has to come on the field, and it has to come in Guadalajara.
