cody bolton is set for the first start of his major league career when the Houston Astros face the Colorado Rockies on Monday at 8:40 p.m. ET at Coors Field in Denver. The 27-year-old right-hander will get the ball in a ballpark that has long been one of the toughest in baseball for visiting teams.

Bolton has been in motion since he first reached the majors in April 2023. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates 178th overall in the sixth round of the 2017 draft, he was picked up by the Seattle Mariners in November 2023 and joined the Cleveland Guardians in April 2025 before landing with Houston.
That path has taken him through four different clubs in just over two years, and Monday gives him a chance to show he can hold a rotation spot in a park where mistakes tend to get exposed quickly.
