Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars by 76 runs in the Pakistan Super League on a night that sent them to the top of the table and left Lahore sixth. Zalmi made 173 for 7 after Kusal Mendis hit 74 from 48 balls, then bowled Lahore out for 97.
Mendis backed up his 109 in Peshawar Zalmi's previous match against Karachi Kings with another forceful innings, striking five fours and four sixes. Babar Azam added 43 and Michael Bracewell made 21 from 10 balls as Zalmi set a total that proved well beyond Lahore's reach.
Shaheen Shah Afridi returned 3 for 22 for Lahore Qalandars, but his spell did not stop the collapse that followed. Bracewell then took 3 for 18 as Lahore were bundled out, with Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique top-scoring on 21 each.

The result gives Zalmi four wins from five matches and early control of the PSL standings. For Mendis, it was another reminder that his best form is arriving at the right time, and for Lahore it was a heavy defeat that exposed how quickly a table can turn in the opening stretch of a season.
