is sending Fox & Friends on a six-stop RV road trip this spring and early summer to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, then handing one viewer the camper on live television July 3. The tour begins April 24 in Houston and ends with a show from the Jersey Shore in June before the giveaway airs.
The fully outfitted RV, wrapped with Fox & Friends, America 250 and Camping World branding, will pull into local restaurants and bars along the route, starting at Armadillo Place in Houston. From there, the show is scheduled to stop May 6 at The Bid Biscuit in Lenexa, Kansas; May 15 at Fudpuckers in Destin, Florida; May 28 at Tortuga Jacks in Jekyll Island, Georgia; June 5 at Lulus in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and June 12 at Duffer’s Restaurant and Homemade Ice Cream Parlor in Wildwood, New Jersey.
Ainsley Earhardt said the trip is part of the network’s buildout for America’s 250th birthday, calling it a chance to hit the open road and meet people at what she described as the heartbeat of America. Steve Doocy said he drove the Freedom Traveler being given away and joked that getting behind the wheel brought out his inner Clark Griswold. He also called out the most basic appeal of the prize in one word: “Vacation!”
The giveaway is the part that gives the tour its commercial edge, and Fox has said it will cover the tax bill for the winner, removing the usual fine print that can turn a prize into a burden. That detail matters because the RV is not just a promotional vehicle for the road trip; it is the prize at the center of it, and one lucky viewer will be able to use it to travel with family and make memories on the road.
Fox & Friends will finish the trip with a June show from the Jersey Shore, then return on July 3 for the live RV giveaway. By then, the road trip will have done two jobs at once: sell the pageantry of America 250 and set up a very public handoff of a camper that says is ready for cross-country travel.
