The Utah Jazz have already moved on to next season, and Oscar Tshiebwe may be the player left with the clearest warning sign. Utah made the JJJ trade before shifting its attention forward, and Tshiebwe has shown the Jazz more than most of the other players on the list.
He has had moments for Utah, enough to argue he should get the same chance Micah Potter got after he left the team. But the fit is hard to see. The Jazz do not need another frontcourt piece next season, and their rotation is expected to include Lauri Markkanen, Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, Kyle Filipowski and Jusuf Nurkic, with Kevin Love also a possible return if Utah wants him.

That leaves Tshiebwe as the odd man out for reasons that have little to do with his own effort. Of the Jazz players on the list, he is also the likeliest to have a long and prosperous NBA career, which makes the likely ending in Utah even sharper. The team’s frontcourt is crowded enough that his strongest case may still not be enough to keep him in the picture.
