The Atlanta Hawks signed tony bradley for the remainder of the season on Saturday, a move that came one day after Atlanta beat the Brooklyn Nets 141-107 at Barclays Center. The Hawks also requested waivers on Caleb Houstan, clearing a roster spot for the veteran center.
Atlanta Hawks and Caleb Houstan
Atlanta said, "We have requested waivers on Caleb Houstan" after Houstan played 18 games for the Hawks. He averaged 2.3 points per contest while shooting 53.8% from the field and 52.4% from three-point range.
Houstan, the 32nd pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, also had 2 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist in 4 minutes in his final stat line cited here. The numbers point to a limited role even as his shooting percentages stayed efficient across a small sample.

Tony Bradley and Jock Landale
Shams Charania said, "The Atlanta Hawks are signing veteran center Tony Bradley to a deal for the remainder of the season, adding frontcourt depth in wake of an injury to Jock Landale, sources tell. Atlanta has had a hot second half, surging to No. 5 in the Eastern Conference."
Bradley gives Atlanta another center as the Hawks sit fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 45-33 record through 78 games. Atlanta has won four games in a row and eight of its last ten, which is the run that made the need for a deeper front line harder to ignore.
The immediate question for Atlanta is how quickly Bradley fits into a rotation built around a late-season push. His arrival arrives after the Hawks moved on from Houstan, and the roster change leaves Atlanta with a cleaner path to use Bradley for the stretch run.
