Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were sweeping Six Flags Magic Mountain on Monday morning after a reported bomb threat forced attention to the Valencia theme park before opening time. The park, at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, was closed when the call came in at 7:55 a.m.
The park was scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m., but the sheriff had not confirmed whether it would stay closed as deputies continued searching the property. Sky5’s Gil Leyvas was over the park around 10:30 a.m. while the sweep was underway.
Six Flags Magic Mountain said it was monitoring the situation with local authorities, saying it was aware of police activity at the park. No further details were provided about whether anything had been found.
The theme park in Valencia became the focus of the morning response after the threat was reported, and the lack of any immediate update left the shutdown question unresolved as the scheduled opening time passed. For now, the answer is simple: deputies were still searching, and officials had not said the park would reopen on schedule.
