The third round of the 2026 Truist Championship continues Saturday, May 9, at Quail Hollow in North Carolina, with and teeing off together at 10:50 a.m. ET.

Schauffele said Wednesday that he has not really been in touch with the lead in most events, a blunt assessment from a player trying to make a late move on the weekend. He said there are only “a few things here or there” he needs to do better over four days to get over the finish line, and that he is still trying to find a way to get everything to click at the same time.

The pairing gives Saturday’s round added weight because both players arrive with bigger-season goals hanging over them. Schauffele is in a critical stretch with three majors left on the calendar, while Spieth is still chasing the PGA Championship, the one major that would complete his career Grand Slam.

Coverage begins early for viewers who want to follow the action from the opening groups through the marquee pairing. on + starts streaming at 7:30 a.m. ET, opens third-round television coverage at 12 p.m. ET, the GOLF App will carry a simulcast of Golf Channel’s broadcast, and CBS coverage later Saturday can be streamed on Paramount+.

The day begins well before Schauffele and Spieth step to the first tee. and are scheduled for 7:45 a.m., Mackenzie Hughes and at 7:55 a.m., Andrew Novak and Matt Fitzpatrick at 8:40 a.m., Andrew Putnam and Sahith Theegala at 9:30 a.m., Chandler Blanchet and J.T. Poston at 10:15 a.m., Ricky Castillo and Viktor Hovland at 10:25 a.m., and Taylor Pendrith and Matt Wallace at 10:35 a.m.

For Spieth, the round offers another chance to push toward a title that has defined his chase for completeness. For Schauffele, it is another test of whether he can string together four clean days after admitting that the lead has often stayed just out of reach.
