Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster made their official debut as a couple at the Met Gala on May 4, 2025, walking hand in hand down the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Jackman, 57, wore a traditional tuxedo. Foster, 51, wore a shimmering gold gown.
The appearance marked the clearest public confirmation yet of a relationship the two had already confirmed in 2025, and it came as Jackman continues to sort through the last major pieces of his separation from Deborra-Lee Furness after 27 years of marriage. Furness and Jackman announced in September 2023 that they were separating, and their divorce was officially finalized in June 2024.
That personal reset is playing out alongside a costly property cleanup. In March, Jackman and Furness relisted one of their remaining marital homes for $28.75 million: a five-bedroom Richard Meier-designed triplex on Perry Street that they bought for $21 million in 2008. They first put the penthouse on the market for $38.9 million in June 2022, took that listing down a few months later, then offered it for rent at $125,000 a month around the time of the separation announcement. Sources previously confirmed to Realtor.com that the unit was leased by a tenant slated to remain until December 2026.
The listing says there are very limited showings for prospective buyers, and property records show the apartment is still registered to the limited liability company Jackman and Furness used when they bought it in 2008. The 11,000-square-foot triplex includes a double-height living room with walls of windows overlooking the Hudson River, a setup Realtor.com described as a modernist masterpiece and said had a residence's striking minimalist design that makes it one of the most dramatic apartments in Manhattan.
Jackman and Furness have already split other properties in their portfolio as part of their divorce agreement. A penthouse apartment on Eleventh Avenue that they bought for $21.12 million in 2022 was sold to an LLC linked solely to Furness for around half of its $23 million value. It remains unclear whether they will split the proceeds from a future sale of the Perry Street apartment, but the relisting shows the financial untangling is still not finished even as Jackman has moved forward publicly with Foster.
