Diego Simeone and Carla Pereyra have turned their La Finca home in Madrid into a private retreat built around space, light and restraint. On 5 May, the house was described as a 1,900-square-meter property with six bathrooms, a gym, a pool, chill-out areas and a garden that visually blends into the interior.
Pereyra said the couple bought the house some time ago and renovated it completely, shaping it around the way they live: broad rooms for family time and, above all, plenty of natural light. The interior follows a minimalist line based on quiet luxury, with a living room anchored by a blue ultramarine carpet and a modular white bouclé sofa, plus a bar area tucked beneath a wood-paneled staircase.
The dining room sits slightly elevated and uses light oak wood, with a sculptural lamp hanging over a solid table. It is the sort of polished private setting that fits the neighborhood, where Simeone, known as Cholo, shares La Finca with Marcos Llorente and Thibaut Courtois, both part of the same elite Madrid enclave.
The timing gives the house a sharper edge. On 5 May, Simeone was preparing with Atlético de Madrid for the second leg of the Champions League semifinal against Arsenal, a one-to-one contest that placed him at a decisive point in the season and one step from the final. Away from the pressure and the cameras, the home reads like a refuge built for a family that lives under constant football scrutiny.
That private life also sits alongside the public one that has defined Simeone’s Atlético years, including the family path traced in his son Giuliano’s rise. For now, the most revealing thing may be the contrast itself: while the coach heads into one of the biggest matches of the season, the place he returns to has been designed to keep the noise out.
