Cia Show: Colin Glass and Bill Goodman join forces on the mole hunt

By Brandon Hayes May 5, 2026

CIA Case Officer and FBI Special Agent are finally chasing the same target on CIA. In the Monday, May 4 episode, the two men realize they are both hunting the mole inside the agency, ending a stretch of suspicion that had kept them at odds since the series premiere.

The shift matters because Bill has been running his own investigation in secret ever since told him at the end of the series premiere that he had also been assigned to find a mole in the CIA. For weeks, all signs pointed to Colin as the one leaking information, and that suspicion turned dangerous in the April 27 episode when Bill confronted him with his gun out.

Colin defused that encounter by telling Bill, “I’ve got a funny feeling we might be looking for the same person. So why don’t you just put the gun back in your holster and let’s have a civilized conversation, shall we? Because I think we’ve got a lot of work to do, mate.” The new episode pushes that idea further. In a first look at what comes next, Colin asks, “So, what, you’ve been on this mole hunt since day one?” and Bill answers, “Call it day 2. has evidence a mole is operating out of New York Station.”

That exchange gives the story a wider frame. The mole investigation started as a hidden FBI assignment tied to the , but Colin now agrees with the bureau and says the problem goes beyond New York. He tells Bill, “It’s bigger than just New York though. I think this mole operation’s responsible for ’s death in the Philippines.”

The tension is where the show has been most effective, and it is still there: Bill spent the first part of the season treating Colin like the likely thief, only to learn they were working toward the same truth from different directions. CBS is already setting up the next step in that search. The episode titled “” teases a foreign diplomat who is killed after sneaking into the U.S. under unknown circumstances, and the network says Colin and Bill uncover a rare mineral with the power to disrupt international relations as part of the motive behind the killing.

So the answer to the question the season keeps asking is simple enough now: Colin and Bill are no longer hunting each other. They are on the same side, and the mole case is widening into something that reaches from New York Station to the Philippines and into the next episode’s diplomatic fallout.
