Hayden Christensen and Paul Bettany are coming to GalaxyCon Oklahoma City when the three-day fan convention returns May 22-24 at the Oklahoma City Convention Center in downtown OKC. The third annual GalaxyCon OKC will take over 100 Mick Cornett Dr. during Memorial Day weekend.
The event adds two of the biggest names in modern franchise television and film to a lineup that already includes Danny Glover, Cheech & Chong, Nana Visitor, Terry Farrell, Brandon Routh, Tyler Hoechlin and Peter Weller. Christensen is known for playing Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, while Bettany played Dryden Vos in Solo: A Star Wars Story and J.A.R.V.I.S. and Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including WandaVision.
GalaxyCon is billed as the largest independently owned consumer and fan engagement company, and Oklahoma City’s stop has become a Memorial Day weekend convention built around celebrity signings, panels and reunions. This year’s gathering also includes cast reunions for The Flash, Teen Wolf and the Police Academy film franchise, giving fans a rare chance to see several television and movie worlds under one roof.
Tyler Hoechlin’s presence adds another crossover point for the Teen Wolf reunion, since he played Derek Hale in the series and also portrayed Superman and Clark Kent in Superman & Lois and Supergirl. The mix of Star Wars, Marvel, DC and classic comedy names makes the Oklahoma City show one of the convention’s most crowded lineups yet, and the central question now is not whether the guest list will draw attention, but how much of downtown OKC it will pull into the convention center over the holiday weekend.
