Disney is lining up a fresh wave of Star Wars merchandise for May the 4th, led by a LEGO Ultimate Collector Series version of the Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter and a new run of Grogu items across toys, apparel and accessories. The list, published by Disney Parks Blog, also includes action figures, books and other tie-ins arriving in time for the fan holiday.
The N-1 Starfighter set comes with 1,809 pieces and arrives May 4, while the Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies & Villains BrickHeadz set is also part of the celebration. Hasbro’s Ultimate Grogu is a 1:1 scale animatronic with built-in motors, sensors and microphones, and it delivers more than 250 animations and sounds across three modes of play. It is coming soon to Disney Parks stores and is available now for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse, Amazon and Fan Channel retailers.
The rollout reaches beyond high-end collectibles. Build-A-Bear Workshop has an exclusive make-your-own Star Wars Grogu Plush and Lightsaber wristies available now, while Mattel’s Grogu Deluxe Plush is inspired by Grogu’s upcoming appearance in The Mandalorian and Grogu. Hasbro is also pushing its Action Buddy Grogu, which has 50-plus sound and movement combinations, alongside new figures in the Black Series and The Vintage Collection.
Other licensees are joining the push. POP MART’s Tiny But Mighty series includes Star Wars figurines, and Vera Bradley’s Grogu Medallion collection spans tote bags, wallets, cosmetic bags, backpacks and more. The merchandise surge underscores how heavily Disney is leaning on Grogu and the wider star wars universe as it builds toward the premiere of The Mandalorian and Grogu, turning May the 4th into a retail event as much as a fan holiday.
For Disney, the timing is the point. The company is using the annual Star Wars date to flood stores and online channels with products tied to one of its most durable characters, betting that collectors and casual buyers will meet the new film-era push the same way they have other franchise moments, from a Yankees bobblehead giveaway to the return of Star Wars: The Acolyte on Disney+.
