The first phase of the Liga colombiana reaches its final day on Sunday, May 3, 2026, and seven teams will go into the last round still fighting for the right to stay alive in the championship. The decisive matches involving the clubs in contention will be played at the same time, 3:30 p.m. ET, after set the schedule to keep the race for two places fair and direct.

One of the key matches will be at El Campín, where will host in a duel between direct rivals for qualification. Internacional de Bogotá enters the day seventh with 28 points and a +2 goal difference, a position that leaves it inside the group chasing one of the two remaining spots and with 90 minutes to protect it.

The other teams still in the hunt are , , Millonarios, Atlético Bucaramanga and Águilas, all of them tied to the same narrow margin for error on the last date. The final whistle will settle the bracket for the first phase and, for the teams that fall short, end the chance to play for the first-semester title.

This is the kind of finish the league was built for: one round, one simultaneous kickoff and no room to manage the table from the sidelines. Earlier previews around the late stages of the calendar have already pointed to how tight the run-in had become, from Atlético Nacional-Bucaramanga and Once Caldas-Internacional de Bogotá to the postponed Águilas Doradas-Bucaramanga match, and Sunday now turns that pressure into a single table-wide verdict.

Updated at 1:23 a.m. ET, the story now belongs to the pitch. Internally, the math is simple and brutal: qualify and keep the season moving, or miss and go home with the first target of the year gone.
