Vancouver Whitecaps FC take their club-record start into another Western Conference road test when they visit the LA Galaxy on Saturday, May 2, at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
The Whitecaps are 8W-1L-0D in the MLS era and have won four straight, a run that has them moving through the spring with the kind of consistency the club has not seen before. Their latest result came last Saturday, when Brian White scored his third brace of the season and Cheikh Sabaly added his second goal for the club in a 3-1 win over the Colorado Rapids before 27,589 fans at BC Place.
That result pushed Vancouver’s regular-season record since the start of 2025 to 26W-8L-9D, with a plus-48 goal difference and 91 goals scored. It also underscored how complete the Whitecaps have been this season. They lead the league with 25.9 expected goals, 47 big chances created, nine set piece goals, a plus-20 goal differential, 2.80 goals per match, 7.10 shots on target per match and 325 touches in the opposition’s box. Defensively, they have allowed 6.20 expected goals, the fewest in the league, and 75 shots, also the fewest, while tying for second with five clean sheets.
The Galaxy match opens a demanding five-game road stretch against Western Conference opposition that runs directly into the league’s World Cup break on May 24. After Los Angeles, Vancouver is scheduled to visit the San Jose Earthquakes on May 9, FC Dallas on May 13, Houston Dynamo FC on May 16 and San Diego FC on May 23. The club will be away from home throughout a span that can shape both the standings and the mood around a team that has spent much of the season setting the pace.
There is still a tension inside the numbers. Vancouver has been dominant, but it is now leaving BC Place for a travel-heavy stretch that asks whether the same sharp attack and tight defending can hold up on the road against conference opponents. The answer starts in Carson, where the Whitecaps will try to extend a four-game winning streak and protect a start that has already become part of club history.
The match will be available on Apple TV, with the 2026 season, including Leagues Cup and the MLS Cup Playoffs, live on Apple TV with no blackouts for subscribers. Asa Rehman and Colin Miller will call the game on 730 CKNW, with the pre-match show beginning at 7 p.m. PT.
