Sporting Kansas City will host Seattle Sounders at Sporting Park on Saturday, March 2, at 1:30 PM CT, and the club is steering fans toward a full Kids Day experience from the moment they arrive. Supporters were told to get there early to check out the activations on Sporting Plaza before the match begins.
The game-day setup leans into the atmosphere Sporting Park is known for, with pyrotechnics and strobe lighting effects part of the in-stadium presentation. Supporter Stand ticket holders and Season Ticket Members are also being encouraged to spend prematch time in the Budweiser Brew House, where specials will be available before kickoff.
SportingStyle is adding its own draw for the afternoon, with the Peanuts x Sporting KC Collection, the Kids Day Scarf and the Item of the game all on sale. One SportingStyle location uses Amazon Just Walk Out technology, placed on the east side of the building at the top of section 131, while Sporting Pay is not accepted there.
Beyond the merchandise and entertainment, the club is also reminding fans that tickets are mobile-only and must be managed through SeatGeek Account Manager. Screenshots will not be accepted, cash is no longer accepted anywhere in the building, and clear bags measuring 12” x 12” x 6” or smaller may be allowed after inspection, with all bags subject to search.
This season has also brought new and improved GFiber Fast Lanes at SportingPark, part of the club’s broader push to make entry and movement through the stadium quicker on matchday. The guidance matters because Kids Day is expected to draw families who may be navigating the building for the first time this year.
Fans coming from the west side of the venue should also plan ahead. A portion of Village West Parkway near the I-70 / 110th St. exit is currently closed because of construction of the new Buc-ee's near Sporting Park, which could affect the route into the stadium area before Saturday’s match. For anyone heading to Seattle Sounders vs Sporting KC, the message is simple: arrive early, use mobile tickets, pack light and expect a crowded, cashless, family-heavy afternoon.
