Karrueche Tran jokes with Deion Sanders over Nike boxes in family clip

By Megan Foster May 2, 2026

turned a family sneaker joke into a social media moment on Monday, posting a lighthearted exchange about someone abusing his deal privilege. The football coach asked, “How do you feel if somebody abuses the privilege of your Nike deal? There’s a couple in the family that just go too far!”

When guessed Shilo was the culprit, Sanders shut that down fast. “Nah, it’s not. Shilo got his own thing with Nike,” he said, before saying he had found two boxes in the office. The camera then panned to after Sanders complained about the mysterious piles of Nike boxes being delivered to his office.

Tran giggled as Sanders accused her of treating his coaching allotment like a personal shopping spree. Deiondra Sanders then jumped in, saying, “You (Tran) do be having some cute Nike stuff all the time. I didn’t know where all that came from!” Tran pointed her fingers at Sanders and replied, “It came from him.” She also said she regularly shares the incoming Nike haul with Sanders’ mother and sister.

The exchange landed because Sanders’ Nike ties are not new. He rejoined the brand in 2023, signing a deal around the time he took the head coaching job at the University of Colorado. That partnership was worth about $10 million a year, Nike brought back its Air Diamond Turf sneakers, and the company re-released his shoes with the original logos for the first time in a decade and a half. Sanders had spent over a decade with before returning, and he had said he would never work with Nike again until he became the coach in Boulder. later signed his own NIL deal with Nike in 2024.

The joke works because it is built on a real shift in Sanders’ career and his family’s easy familiarity with the brand’s perks. What looked like a prank over a couple of boxes was also a reminder that his Nike relationship has become part of the family orbit, not just his own sideline image.
