Deli Boys is coming back. Hulu has set season 2 of the 10-episode comedy for May 28, 2026, more than a year after the series first arrived on March 6, 2025 and turned into one of the year’s most surprising breakouts.
The new season extends the story of brothers Mir and Raj, played by Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh, after the first run ended with a reveal that changed everything: their father Baba, played by Iqbal Theba, was not just dead after a golfing accident, he had been running a drug empire out of Philadelphia. That twist gave the first season its momentum and helped push Deli Boys to a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The show’s appeal came from how hard it leaned into chaos. In 10 episodes, Deli Boys moved through scenes involving a half-dead naked man in the streets, an effort to unload cocaine and run-ins with the FBI, Peruvian gangs and the Paki Blinders, while Lucky Auntie, played by Poorna Jagannathan, helped anchor the mayhem. It played like a crime story that refused to behave like one, and that was part of the joke and part of the hook.
That is why the May 28 date matters now. Deli Boys began as a sleeper hit, but its first season finished with enough critical heat and enough unanswered fallout around Baba’s empire to make a second run feel less like a routine renewal than a test of whether the surprise can be repeated. The series, which built its reputation fast after debuting on March 6, 2025, now has to prove it can keep the story moving after the shock of the first reveal is gone.
Hulu has already signaled more is coming, including the addition of Kumail Nanjiani to season 2, but the real question is simpler: whether Mir and Raj can stay interesting once they are no longer just two brothers stumbling into their father’s secret life. Season 2 answers that by sending Deli Boys back to Hulu on May 28, 2026, with the criminal family business still very much alive.
