Ving Rhames collapsed while dining with his family at a Los Angeles restaurant on April 29 after he began to lose consciousness, and paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital.
The LA City Fire Department received a call at about 1:40 PM for a male in his 60s, according to the facts provided, and the person was taken to a local medical facility. A representative said Rhames overheated while out to eat and was expected to be fine, though he remained at the hospital for observation.
Rhames, 66, is known for films including Mission: Impossible, Pulp Fiction and Bringing Out the Dead, and he has remained active in Hollywood. Rhames said he had been drawn to Uppercut because of the script and the chemistry he found with Luise, adding that bringing Torsten into the mix made the choice easy.
