Chad Brinker leaves Titans after helping steer football rebuild

is leaving the organization after three years in which he helped steer the club’s football operation and led the search that brought in general manager . Brinker said it has been an honor to serve as president of football operations, but that he now feels it is time to return to what he loves and begin his next chapter.

Brinker said he was grateful for ’s understanding and for the chance to pursue other opportunities. He said he is proud of the work the Titans did over the past three years under challenging circumstances and believes the team has laid the foundation to become a sustainable, winning program.

The move closes a run that began in 2023, when Brinker joined the Titans as assistant general manager before being promoted a year later to president of football operations. In that role, he provided executive leadership and direct oversight for the entire football staff, reporting directly to Adams Strunk.

His influence reached beyond the front office title. Brinker helped reshape and refine the Titans’ analytics department and played a role in offseason strategy for player acquisitions in free agency and the draft. He also led the search that ended with Borgonzi being hired in , a step Brinker pointed to as part of the organization’s effort to get back on track.

Adams Strunk said it is difficult to lose Brinker, but that she understands his decision and will do whatever she can to support him. She said she wished Brinker, and their family the absolute best as they prepare for what is next and thanked them for their dedication and loyalty to the Titans.

Before Tennessee, Brinker spent 13 years with the in a range of scouting and strategic roles, working as a talent evaluator and counselor to team leadership. His departure leaves the Titans with a new leadership structure at the top of the football operation just as the organization says it has rebuilt its foundation and established long-term stability at general manager and scouting levels.
