Joe Fagnano to attend Ravens rookie minicamp after UConn breakout

By Kevin Mitchell Apr 28, 2026

Connecticut quarterback has accepted an invitation to attend the ’ rookie minicamp next Saturday. A team source confirmed the invitation to .

The chance comes after a productive final college season that put Fagnano on the NFL’s fringe. As ’s full-time starter in 2025, he passed for 3,448 yards and 28 touchdowns while throwing just one interception, and he was the only one of 130 FBS quarterbacks with at least 210 dropbacks last season to finish with fewer than two picks. He turned 25 on March 31.

Fagnano’s path to this point has been anything but direct. He began his college career at before transferring to UConn in 2023, when he played in only two games before a shoulder injury ended his season. The later granted him a hardship waiver tied to that injury, allowing him to return for a seventh college football season in 2025.

That extra year mattered for both Fagnano and the Huskies. In 2024, he appeared in 10 games with six starts and was named the offensive MVP of UConn’s 27-14 Fenway Bowl win over North Carolina, the program’s first bowl victory since 2009. The season that followed gave him the kind of clean production NFL evaluators notice, even if the questions about his ceiling remain.

ranked Fagnano No. 270 on his top 300 big board and listed him as the 10th-best quarterback in the class. Brugler described him as a fundamentally sound passer with fluid release velocity, but said he still has to prove he can fit the ball into tighter windows at the next level. He also said Fagnano offers reserve potential for an NFL depth chart.

For Fagnano, next Saturday is not a draft-day guarantee. It is a shot to keep his name in the conversation, and to show the Ravens that a late-blooming quarterback with one of the cleanest interception numbers in the country can still earn a place on an NFL roster.
