Devin Moore is headed to Dallas. The Cowboys selected the Florida cornerback with the No. 114 pick in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, continuing a draft that has been defined by defense from the opening night on.
The move came right after Dallas used No. 112 on Penn State offensive tackle Drew Shelton, then turned to Moore two picks later. The Cowboys had already traded down with the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round to move to No. 23 and take UCF pass rusher Malachi Lawrence, while also picking up two fourth-round picks in the deal.
By the end of the second day, Dallas had drafted three new defenders and traded for another to add to Christian Parker's defense. Jerry Jones put the point plainly: “we've changed this defense.”
That is the shape of the Cowboys' draft so far. They added linebacker Jaishawn Barham in the third round, then kept attacking defense with Moore in the fourth. The haul also included a safety, a defensive end, a veteran linebacker acquired in the trade with the 49ers for Dee Winters, and a rookie linebacker who is expected to work inside and outside.
The Cowboys' approach leaves little doubt about what they are trying to fix. This is a defensive-heavy draft for a team trying to turn things around in 2026, and Moore is part of that push.
The only piece still missing is the full scouting report, which was not yet available and was expected to follow shortly after the selection. For now, Dallas has made its priority unmistakable: it is rebuilding the spine of the defense one pick at a time.
