Rock N Roll Marathon Nashville returns with early road closures Saturday

The returns to Music City this weekend, bringing early road closures across Nashville on Saturday as runners take on a 26.2-mile course.

The said towing begins at midnight tonight for vehicles left in posted no-parking zones along the route. Police have already posted no-parking signs, and organizers said most roads will be closed from 5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The race will affect 400 Davidson, 12 South-Belmont, Downtown, East Nashville, the Gulch, Music Row, Salemtown and Metrocenter, with some bus routes detoured. The marathon is a recurring fixture in Nashville, and the closures, towing enforcement and transit changes are part of the city’s race-day setup. For drivers, the line from police is plain: take the signs seriously, or expect to lose the car.
