Another cancellation has taken longer to settle. Law & Order: Organized Crime, the streaming version of the Law & Order franchise built around gritty, dark storylines, had its fate revealed by Peacock after nearly a year, adding to the sense that 2026 is becoming a cleanup year for established titles rather than a launchpad for new ones.
Hallmark Channel is losing one of its fan favorites too. The series centered on a pond on the Landrys’ property that lets family members travel through time is also signing off, another sign that even shows with dedicated audiences are not being kept alive indefinitely. The pattern across networks is plain: shows cannot last forever, and the ones ending in 2026 are being treated as the natural end points of long runs, not surprise cancellations.
