Flamengo and Vitória meet Wednesday at 21:30 Brasília time in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil’s fifth phase, with the Maracanã hosting a tie that will be decided over two legs. The return match is scheduled for May 14 at the Barradão.
Premiere and sportv will televise flamengo vs vitória, and ge will follow the game in real time with videos. Anderson Daronco will referee the match, with Leila Naiara Moreira da Cruz and Michael Stanlau as assistants and Thiago Duarte Peixoto in the VAR booth.
Flamengo arrive after beating Bahia at home last Sunday, a result that extended their winning streak to five straight matches. They will still be without Paquetá because of injury, while Jorginho has missed the last four matches with a calf problem in his left leg.
Vitória also travel to Rio with personnel issues. Gabriel Baralhas and Renato Kayzer did not make the trip because of injury, while Marinho returned to the squad after recovering from a thigh injury in his left leg.
The matchup comes with Flamengo expected to rotate because of a demanding run before the World Cup break. Vitória, meanwhile, are coming off a draw with Corinthians in Série A and have won only two away matches so far this season, a record that makes the first leg at the Maracanã a difficult place to start.
