Darrell Sheets, one of the stars of A&E’s reality show Storage Wars, died at his home in the Lake Havasu area of Arizona at age 67. Lake Havasu City police said officers were sent to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive at about 2 a.m. on April 22, 2026, after a report of a deceased person.
Police said they found Sheets with what they described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and pronounced him dead at the scene. The department said his family had been notified, and the case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Unit before the body was sent to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further review.
Sheets had risen to prominence on Storage Wars, where he became one of the show’s best-known buyers of vacant storage units and often used the line, “this is the WOW factor!” His death in the early hours of Tuesday leaves a public record that still ends in questions, even as police said the investigation remains active.
