Hubert Hurkacz will begin his ATP 1000 Madrid Open campaign on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, when he faces Jaime Faria in the first round. The match is set to start no earlier than 17:00 ET, and the winner will move on to meet sixth seed Lorenzo Musetti in the second round.
Hurkacz is being framed as the favorite against Faria, a much lower-ranked Portuguese player, and the matchup gives the Pole a chance to build on his successful Monte Carlo tournament. The tennis carries extra weight for bettors because STS has tied a promotion to the result.
