The Scorpions’ planned India tour has been canceled, wiping out a four-date run that was set to start in Shillong on April 21 and end in Mumbai on April 30. BookMyShow said all four shows will not take place because of unforeseen medical circumstances affecting the band members.
The canceled stops were scheduled for Shillong on April 21, Delhi-NCR on April 24, Bengaluru on April 26 and Mumbai on April 30. Fans who bought tickets will get refunds within 7-10 working days, according to BookMyShow.
The India shows were part of the band’s “Coming Home” tour, and no information had been announced about other future dates when the cancellation was disclosed. The Scorpions were still slated to appear in Abu Dhabi on May 3, and later to begin a Las Vegas residency on Sept. 17.
BookMyShow said it regretted the cancellation and apologized for the inconvenience, adding that the band remains keen to perform in India when possible and within its schedule. That leaves the question of the group’s broader itinerary unanswered, even as the India dates disappear from the calendar and the next public marker remains the Abu Dhabi show on May 3.
