Anna Hall marries Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton at Oheka Castle

By Brandon Hayes Apr 18, 2026

and exchanged vows on April 11 at Oheka Castle on Long Island, bringing a cross-sport romance that began with an Instagram follow and a trackside proposal to its formal close. Hall, a professional track star, Olympian and the reigning heptathlon world champion, married the wide receiver after a relationship built around demanding schedules and long stretches spent apart.

Slayton said he followed Hall on Instagram after seeing her run on TV. Hall said she thought it was simply “an athlete respecting an athlete kind of thing.” The two reconnected in 2024 when Slayton was in New Jersey for physical therapy and Hall was at a track meet in New York, and he later visited her on his day off and asked her to dinner. They dated for a little over a year before getting engaged in November of 2025.

Slayton proposed on the track at Icahn Stadium in New York, the same stadium where they had met. Hall said she thought they were heading to dinner in the city, a plan she said they do often, until he told her he was dressing up and she became suspicious because he “never dresses up.” When the car pulled up to Icahn Stadium instead of a restaurant, she knew what was happening. The wedding followed five months later, after the couple had said they wanted to be married in 2026.

The planning came together while Hall was in competition season, which left little room for a traditional engagement slowdown. Slayton said, “The planning process was fun,” and added that, as the groom, he wanted to help bring Hall’s dreams to life at Oheka, which he said offered the perfect canvas. Oheka Castle, a historic jewel of a mansion on Long Island’s Gold Coast, framed a ceremony shaped by two athletes who had to fit a wedding around training, travel and recovery.

Hall found her wedding dress at the second appointment she made after getting engaged, after first feeling unsure about what she wanted and whether she wanted her muscular arms out. She chose an Eden Aharon dress with Manolo Blahnik heels and said that when she tried it on, she felt like herself, confident in her body, with embroidery and structure that were present but not distracting. She wanted her hair down because, as she put it, in sports it is up 95% of her life, and she wanted her makeup as natural as possible so her skin would still look like skin. The result was not a story about a couple finding time for a wedding. It was a story about two people who kept making time for each other until the track and the schedule finally gave way to the aisle.
