Ice Spice was out eating with a friend when the confrontation began. According to the footage, a woman tried to squeeze in at the table next to the rapper’s friend, and after Ice Spice and her friend asked her to leave, the woman appeared to get agitated and struck Ice Spice. The fight broke briefly when the attacker’s friend stepped in, but more footage shows the brawl moving outside, where an argument continued and the original attacker threw another punch at the rapper.
The attack matters because it turned a late-night meal into a public street fight in a busy part of Hollywood, and because Ice Spice’s lawyer said the incident has already been reported to the LAPD. The lawyer said they would pursue “any and all avenues” to hold the people involved responsible, including criminal and civil action, and said they were also looking at whether the location failed to provide appropriate security.
That version of events is not the one the attacker gave. TMZ spoke to the woman, reportedly named Vayah, who said Ice Spice was rude when she tried to show her “love” and claimed the rapper called her a “bitch,” which she said was why she slapped her. But the footage described in the report shows Ice Spice being hit after the woman was asked to leave, then hit again later in the street. The question now is not what happened first. It is whether police, lawyers and the restaurant itself treat the footage as the last word.
