Alaina Marie Scott has welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Scottie Marie, with her husband, Matt Moeller. Scott announced the birth on Instagram on Thursday, April 16, sharing that the baby arrived two days earlier, on April 14.
Alongside a photo of the newborn, Scott wrote, “My heart outside my body,” and added that the baby “she’s everything and more.” She also revealed the name’s meaning, saying, “Welcome to the world my sweet darling,” and explaining that Scottie was chosen “in honor of the ‘scott sisters,’” women she said had given the name and her life so much meaning.
The birth gives Eminem another family milestone to mark in a household that has long been part of his public story. Scott, 33, married Moeller in June 2023, and Eminem walked her down the aisle. She said she hopes Scottie will always know how loved she is by her mom, dad and her aunties, including Eminem’s biological daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, and his other adopted daughter, Stevie Laine Scott.
That family connection reaches back years. Scott is the daughter of Dawn Scott, Kim Scott’s sister, and Eminem and Kim Scott adopted her in the early 2000s. Eminem told Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had full custody of her, saying, “My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born,” and, “Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.”
Scott’s announcement lands as Eminem’s extended family keeps growing. Hailie Jade Scott welcomed her son, Elliot Marshall McClintock, with her husband, Evan McClintock, in October 2025. For Scott, the message she posted this week made the moment plain: “To my husband, I can’t believe she’s ours. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift of my life. I love you endlessly.”
