Christine Romans to anchor NBC News NOW’s new 10 a.m. ET show

will expand to 14 hours of live weekday coverage, broadcasting from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, and will debut a new two-hour program this summer at 10 a.m. ET anchored by .

Romans will also become chief business correspondent for . The move gives the streaming channel a familiar face at the center of its next phase as it widens its schedule and pushes deeper into live coverage.

The expansion comes as free news streaming options continue to draw more attention and as live breaking news remains a central part of how audiences use those services. NBC News NOW will also move into Studio 3A at 30 Rockefeller Plaza this summer.

The channel had its most-watched first quarter in the past 12 months, with March its strongest month since June 2025. Its coverage of the also drew its largest Friday primetime audience to date, a sign that the channel’s live news push has found a bigger audience at the moments that matter most.

Romans had anchored ’s before joining NBC News. Her new show is timed to coincide with the opening of financial markets, giving NBC News NOW a business-focused anchor as it expands its weekday lineup and tries to turn more of its growing audience into a habit.
