Some people also reported trouble with the website, and an outage map from Downdetector showed impact on both coasts of the United States, with Los Angeles and New York appearing hit hardest. One user wrote on another platform, “I just went on FB to tell everyone that X is down.. It was a weird experience. Can you see this?” while another posted, “I am seeing the same tweets again and again. X down ?”
The outage matters because it was affecting active users in real time, not just a small corner of the platform. Grok said Downdetector showed elevated reports of issues, mostly app, feed/timeline and website problems for some users, and said fresh posts in the last hour were complaining that X was down or glitchy. Another user joked, “Elon shut twitter down as soon as the games ended,” while someone else wrote that Twitter may have gone down during UCL matches.
X, formerly known as Twitter, had not commented on the outage yet, and the reason for the disruption was not known. The company’s silence left users comparing workarounds and trading theories while the complaint numbers kept climbing.
For anyone seeing the “posts aren’t loading right now” message, the suggested fixes were the usual ones: check that the app is updated, clear the cache, restart it, confirm the internet connection, log out and back in, or check for wider site outages. But when multiple people are seeing the same problem at once, a user-side fix is unlikely to solve much.
